Frequently Asked Questions
The questions clients ask us most often about engagement models, delivery process and intellectual property.
We deliver across the full chain: chip selection, schematic design and PCB Layout, firmware and BSP driver development, embedded Linux/Android customization, FPGA development, test and verification, wireless and safety certification, and mass-production ramp-up. You can engage us for a single stage or for turnkey delivery of a complete product.
Five models: whole-project outsourcing (fixed price, milestone-based payments); staff augmentation (billed per person-month, with engineers working onsite or remotely); technical consulting (hourly or daily rates for design reviews and troubleshooting); joint development (shared investment, with results and IP shared); and product incubation (technical support from MVP through to mass production). Pricing is quoted once we have assessed your requirements.
It depends on complexity. A single firmware or driver module typically takes 4-8 weeks. A full hardware-plus-software product generally takes 3-6 months to the first prototype, and 6-12 months including certification and mass-production ramp-up. We provide a milestone-based schedule during the requirements assessment.
Under the whole-project outsourcing and staff-augmentation models, the source code, schematics, PCB files and all documentation are handed over to the client in full on acceptance, and the intellectual property belongs to the client. Under joint development, it is shared as agreed in the contract. We sign an NDA before the project starts.
Mandatory code review, automated testing with continuous integration, static analysis (cppcheck/Coverity), MISRA C compliance, and HIL hardware-in-the-loop testing. Automotive and medical projects additionally follow industry standards such as ISO 26262 and IEC 62304.
Platforms include ARM Cortex-M/A, RISC-V, DSP and Xilinx/Altera FPGA, along with mainstream vendor solutions from Qualcomm, Rockchip, Allwinner, NXP and STMicroelectronics. Industries covered are industrial control, automotive electronics, medical devices, consumer electronics, smart home, telecom equipment, security and surveillance, and new energy.
